Team Member of the Month

Dave Stroud
Dave left school (he won’t tell us when) to
become an apprentice joiner. We’re guessing that would have been
somewhere between the first and the second world wars.
About that time, Dave entered his first bodybuilding
competition, becoming a finalist in the junior competition for
Mr. Britain in 1956.
He then won the Mr. Britain contest in 1961, and came third in
Mr. Universe in 1962!
Blimey
After 25 years of running his own company within the building
trade in England, Dave decided to retire permanently to his
holiday home near Estepona.
He first played Estepona Golf 6 years ago, and soon became a
popular member of the club’s regular visitors before becoming a
marshall and general Mr. Fixit in the clubhouse.
With his bodybuilding career now in question, having lost a
Senior Division competition to a 91 year old woman from
Barnsley, Dave now enjoys spending time at the club and
regularly takes part in our Senior competitions.
